Comment: Duo two-step login: This morning, Duo experienced a partial service outage caused by internet connectivity problems for Amazon Web Services in Oregon and Northern California. Many people at the UO and other universities were reporting timeouts and other issues trying to complete two-step login. As of 8:27am, this issue has been resolved.

Comment: Duo two-step login: We're receiving reports of people experiencing timeouts when using Duo two-step login, preventing them from logging in to some UO services. This appears to be a partial outage, with some people able to do two-step login successfully. Many people report that the Duo verification works but is running slowly. You may need to check the Duo app to find push notifications. Duo is providing updates on their status website: https://status.duo.com.

Comment: Amazon Connect call centers: Typical after-hours call handling — i.e., sending callers to voicemail — is currently not working. Callers currently hear "Your call cannot be completed as dialed." The problem is caused by a routing failure. UO staff have reported the problem to our carrier, Lumen (formerly CenturyLink). UO staff can implement temporary workarounds upon request.

Comment: Amazon Connect call centers: Voicemail routing is currently not working for call centers that are closed, due to a routing failure by Lumen (formerly CenturyLink). UO staff have reported the problem to Lumen and are investigating possible workarounds.

Comment: New students and employees who claimed their Duck IDs between Friday, Aug. 27 and 1pm on Thursday, Sept. 2 may not have access yet to Adobe Creative Cloud. UO staff are reviewing data now to ensure new accounts receive access to Adobe Creative Cloud as they should. Existing members of the UO community can continue using Creative Cloud without interruption.

Comment: Adobe Creative Cloud: Due to complications with the University of Oregon's Adobe contract renewal, we're currently unable to provide Creative Cloud to new students and employees who've claimed Duck IDs since Friday, Aug. 27. Existing members of the UO community should be able to continue using Creative Cloud without interruption. UO staff continue actively working to ensure the contract renewal is completed ASAP.

Comment: Adobe Creative Cloud users: Due to complications with the University of Oregon's Adobe contract renewal, there is a small chance you may experience difficulty accessing or using Adobe applications after Saturday, Aug. 28, or receive an email notification from Adobe about your access. Our next opportunity to address any issues that may arise will be on Monday, Aug. 30, when UO staff will resume active efforts to ensure the contract renewal is completed.

Comment: Users are not currently able to log in to Microsoft services using Duo (two-step login). The problem began at approximately 12:15pm PT. Both Duo and Microsoft have confirmed that there is a problem, and Microsoft is working to restore service. See Office 365, below, for more details.

If Duo is slow, use this workaround: on the Login Required screen, click Enter a Passcode. In the Duo app on your phone, tap "University of Oregon" and enter that six digit code in the Login Required screen. The vendor continues work to restore service.

Comment: Many people are reporting intermittent problems with multiple services, including Microsoft Teams, the UO Service Portal, and non-UO services. The reports have mostly come from the Eugene campus, but also from off campus. UO staff are investigating.

Instead, people are being prompted to do two-step login every time they access a protected UO service. UO staff are investigating this issue, which seems to have begun this week.
