Before this, the grain train came to a stop at East Pica to let the Z-AUGSBD pull up next to it and swap crews. This move is usually done as the crew on the Z-train was having a quicker trip, up until that point, than the crew of the train they're swapping with. In this case, the crew on the grain train was 45 minutes older than the Z-train crew. This is help dispatchers get the train crews to their terminal within their hours of service. In the background, you can see the Z-LACALT7 race down the Yampai Hill; passing the signals of West Pica. Photo Comments (2)
