Molto Vivace = very lively and quick, fast paced.
Hi, I’m Cynthia. For as long as I can remember, my dad has called me “Molto Vivace” – I’m a musician, but in general I’ve always been involved in a million things, constantly on the go, packing a lot into my life – so he thought this suited my “lively” personality.
These days, I’m mom to three awesome little kids (an 14-year old girl, a 10-year old boy, and an 8-year old boy), and I try to juggle that with working in performing arts management, managing social media for triathlon and other fitness organizations, traveling for work (I traveled to 10 countries in one year recently!), and trying to get and stay fit by exercising and training for races. I have lost a cumulative total of 50 pounds throughout this journey and am in the best shape of my life now in my 40s!
I’ve run several full marathons, many half marathons, and lots of other running races, but I had a dream to do a triathlon by the time I turn 40. I’m happy to say I did my first Iron Girl sprint triathlon in 2013!
Now I’ve completed EIGHT half Ironmans and one full Ironman, along with many other shorter-distance tris and duathlons.
I constantly get reactions from people “you signed up for what?!” or “you’re crazy!” when I tell them about my races or other adventures, and they wonder how I have the time with all I have going on – thus the blog title. Truthfully, fitting in the exercise is my biggest challenge – it’s mostly late nights and early mornings – but it’s what keeps me sane. A half hour of running is usually the only 30 minutes I get to myself all day, it’s how I recharge and keep up with everything else.
Here’s my first post where I wrote a few handy bullets about myself and a few of the other things I’ve done.
