To help reduce the risk of transmission of COVID-19, the Museum is reopening on a limited basis with new visitor requirements and safety measures in place. Free timed-entry tickets are required to enter the Museum building.
Reservations for school or tour groups of 55 or more people are free. Reservations can currently be made for the months of June, July, and August 2022.
Group reservations can be made on the day of if there is space available.
You will receive an email confirmation and a digital ticket at the conclusion of the online reservation process. The digital ticket will serve as your timed-entry reservation. Please bring this with you to the Museum on the day of your visit.
Types of Groups
School Groups
Groups affiliated with an educational institution may book through our school group reservation system. Tickets are free and the $1 transaction fee per ticket is waived.

Tour Groups
Groups visiting the Museum with a licensed tour company may book through our tour group reservation system. Tickets are free but include a $1 transaction per ticket.

Other Groups
Groups that are not affiliated with a school or tour company, or groups smaller than 55 people, may reserve tickets through our general ticketing system . Small groups can reserve 25 tickets per transaction.
Preparing for Your Visit
Visitor Guidelines and Safety Measures
The health and safety of our visitors, staff, and volunteers are our highest priority. To help reduce the risk of transmission of COVID-19, please review our latest visitor requirements and safety measures in advance of your visit.
Arriving at the Museum
When you arrive at the Museum, please come to the Raoul Wallenberg Place (15th Street) entrance. Have a chaperone at the front and back of your group as you line up for security. Help our security staff keep you safe by removing your hands from your pockets, taking bags off your shoulders, and listening to security staff as you go through the metal detectors.
Check in at the group desk immediately beyond security when you arrive. We recommend groups provide at least one adult chaperone for every five students under age 18. Please supervise your group and help us to maintain a comfortable, respectful atmosphere for all our visitors.
For Students
It is recommended to talk with students about the Holocaust and the Permanent Exhibition prior to their Museum visit. The more prepared students are for what they will see, read, and hear, the more they may gain from their visit to the Museum. The Education Division of the Museum has developed a variety of resource materials for teachers and group leaders .
Teachers are encouraged to explore these materials but they are not required. You will receive additional information about preparing for a student visit in your ticket confirmation email.
