Page Text: Hours, Location, and Transportation Share The health and safety of our visitors, staff, and volunteers are our highest priority. To help reduce the risk of transmission of COVID-19, the Museum is reopening on a limited basis with new  visitor requirements and safety measures in place. Free timed-entry tickets are required to enter the Museum building. Museum Hours The Museum is free and open six days a week. It is closed on Wednesdays, Yom Kippur, and Christmas Day. The Museum and its exhibitions are open from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Location The Museum is located on the National Mall, just south of Independence Avenue, SW, between 14th Street and Raoul Wallenberg Place (15th Street) in Washington, DC. Please enter the Museum through its entrance on Raoul Wallenberg Place (15th Street). Address 100 Raoul Wallenberg Place, SW Washington, DC 20024-2126 How to Get Here Metro The nearest Metro stop is Smithsonian on the Orange, Blue, and Silver lines, located one block east of the Museum. For more information on Metro and bus routes, visit the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority’s website . Parking The Museum does not have a public parking facility, but there is a paid parking garage located across the street, on D Street, SW, between 13th and 14th Streets, and some metered parking along Independence Avenue. The National Park Service has designated approximately ten handicap-accessible parking spaces at and around the Washington Monument, along Independence Avenue west of 14th Street, and at the Tidal Basin parking lot for vehicles with appropriate tags.
