About Take and Bake
Founded in December 2019, Abby’s Take and Bake Kitchen is a social group that gets together to spend time with friends, away from everyday life (especially those electronics), and make homemade meals to make dinner time easier and bring families together around the table. Our mission is to create a community around social gatherings and stocking kitchens to bring families together around the dinner table.
Currently, we host one small meeting a month, but are hoping to expand to more frequent and larger (or multiple spaces) meetings as the group grows and/or sees fit.
How it Works
Members can sign up for meal prep events via the event info on Facebook on a first come first served basis because of the small space(s) we are currently working with. The link will take you to a Google Form to fill out your information, choose your meals, etc. Prices of the meals may vary from season to season and as the group changes. All of the recipes, ingredients, tools, utensils and fun will be waiting for you on the day of the event. All you have to do is prepay, show up and make your meals! At this time, only cash/check/PayPal is accepted.
About the Owner
My name is Abby and I’m 23 years old. I recently graduated from Cleveland State University, promoted as a Shift Lead at work and got married to the love of my life. I hit numerous “adulting” milestones at once and it was a little overwhelming. I’ve always loved spending time with people and helping others, so being part of and starting groups has always been my nature. But when it came to figuring out dinner, following a budget and shopping for groceries, I seemed to fall flat. What was even crazier is that this seemed to be a “normal” problem that a lot of people experience often. I felt like my family deserved better than “where do you want to go tonight?” and that others probably yearned with similar feelings. With some inspiration from Pinterest and memories from my childhood, the Take and Bake Kitchen was born.
Although I’m no culinary expert, I am an excellent planner and organizer to get the dirty work done. I also have a space to invite people in and am super easy to get along with. I hope if any of this resonates with you, you’ll consider joining our crazy group and learn that dinner time doesn’t have to be a daily stresser anymore. ~
