Portland Pizza Week 2022 Is Coming
One of my favorite food weeks is almost here, Portland Pizza Week , brought to you buy the Portland Mercury. This year Pizza Week starts Monday, April 18 to Sunday, April 24. Slices are $3 this year, with pies for 20 bucks. 28 different places are participating!
You know, I looked in the Bridgetown Bites archives for the last time I wrote about Portland Pizza Week and that was back in 2019 (“the before times”). Slices were only $2 then and 40 slices were available. A lot has changed. But pizza is still pizza and pizza is rad so here’s what you can expect for this year’s Portland Pizza Week. Check on hours and a few other details for each participant on the Portland Mercury website .
I want to add that there are some pretty wonderful names for these pizzas.
KEY:

21st Century Pizza. The Basil Bae: Basil, tomato, and Italian herbs on garlic infused olive oil.
✳️ Vegetarian. Slice and whole pie. 1221 SW Jefferson Street
Assembly Brewing. The Trinity: Caramelized edge Brick cheese blend, tomato sauce, pesto and a reduced Balsamic glaze made fresh.
✳️ Vegetarian. Whole pie. 6112 SE Foster Road
Atlas Pizza. CubanOPP!: Mustard base, Mozzarella, Canadian bacon, house-smoked pork butt, pickles, red onion.
🅾️ Meat (vegan specials also available, though). Slice. 3570 SE Division, 710 N Killingsworth Street, 6535 SE Foster Road
Baby Doll Pizza. Guajillo Gucci: Choice of either Carne adovada or Jackfruit on an Adobo chili sauce, topped with minced onions, cilantro, and creme fraiche.

Boxcar Pizza. Porking for the Weekend: Jackfruit Carnitas, pickled jalapeño, pineapple, cilantro-lime aioli, Cheddar/ Mozzarella blend on a fluffy and crunchy Detroit style sourdough crust.

Dante’s Pizza Slut. 5 Meats 1 Hole: Pepperoni, Salami, bacon, Canadian bacon and sausage. 1 SW 3rd Avenue

Danwei Canting. Chinese BBQ Pork Brisket Pizza: Fatty pork brisket slow roasted in Chinese spices, sweet peppers, mushrooms, red onion, Mozzarella & Cheddar cheese, BBQ sauce, baked fresh on a Focaccia crust.

East Glisan Pizza Lounge. The Marvelous Mrs Maize: corn sauce, Chorizo verde, Mozzarella, Cotija, potato.

Fino Bistro & Pizzeria. Keep Calm and Curry On: Indian Butter Curry, Za’atar pepitas, red onion, kale, garlic oil.

Gladstone Street Pizza. Now I Actually Love Kale: Red Sauce Pie with dollops of Ricotta Cheese and Mama Lil’s Spiced crispy kale.

Handsome Pizza. The Sloppy Joe Slice: tomato sauce, Mozzarella, and Sloppy Joe.

Mississippi Pizza Pub and Atlantis Lounge. Field of Dreams: Caramelized onion sauce, a layer of nutritional yeast, sea salt, zucchini, mushrooms, red onion, Italian field roast, and fresh basil.

North Bar. All Thai’d Up: Sweet n’ Spicy peanut sauce topped with a five cheese blend, mushrooms, roasted red peppers, red onions & chicken. Garnished with chopped toasted peanuts, green onions, cilantro, and more yummy sauce!

Old Town Brewing. Peppabbiata: Spicy marinara with Serrano peppers, topped with fresh Mozzarella, Pepperoni, basil, Parmesan, and olive oil.

Pacific Crust Pizza Co. Alpine Spring: beer cheese white sauce, spring onion, potatoes, Fontina cheese, asparagus, Boar bacon, parsley, capers, egg.

Paladin Pie. Birria Barbarian (feat. Mole Mole): two-day fermented sourdough crust topped with cart pod neighbor Mole Mole’s slow-roasted beef birria, Mozzarella, cilantro, and red onion, served alongside their rich consommé to dip your slice in.

PIZZA KAT. THE TWICE BAKED!: Roasted Yukon Golds, bacon, Rogue Creamery Smokey Blue, Mozzarella, crème fraîche, Pecorino Romano and fresh chives.

Pizza Thief. Highway 99. Built on our sourdough whole grain crust, roasted Chile Verde sauce, braised pork shoulder, Monterey jack cheese, garnished with Cotija, jalepeño and radish.
