I want to be an Australian Apprentice. What’s next?
You must contact an Australian Apprenticeship Support Network (Apprenticeship Network) provider . They will:
help you find an employer and registered training organisation to complete your training.
provide a training contract for you and your employer to sign.
provide advice and support to you during your apprenticeship.
What about my rights and wages?
Your employment conditions are the same as any other employee. To better understand your workplace rights go to the Fair Work Ombudsman website .

What if I’m still at school?
If you are still at school, you can discuss an Australian School-based Apprenticeship with your teachers and career advisers. Further information is available on the Australian School-based Apprenticeships page .
