Pamela Mala Sinha’s multi award-winning solo play CRASH, directed by Dilworth, has toured North America to great acclaim. Necessary Angel will be filming the work in May at Toronto’s Crow’s Theatre, with broadcast release dates to be announced soon.
After the loss of a loved one, a woman must face the shattering memories of a past trauma in an attempt to bring back someone she loves. CRASH is the fractured unraveling of memory; a tour de force narrative about family, faith and love.

Necessary Angel Theatre Company stands in solidarity with the members of the Black community, the Black Lives Matter movement, and we support continued calls for justice. We acknowledge the sustained suffering of the Black and Indigenous communities as a result of centuries of systemic inequities and racism.
We also acknowledge that Necessary Angel has a part to play in the deconstruction of inequitable systems, in the recognition of our place in those systems, and that we must continue to seek to understand our own biases with vigilance so as not to accentuate and perpetuate inequities.
We acknowledge that it is our responsibility to continue to create safe spaces where Black and Indigenous artists can tell necessary, relevant and meaningful stories for audiences to encounter. We acknowledge and are grateful for the continued artistic and community leadership shown by Black and Indigenous theatre artists in our community, country and beyond.
