Page Text: This site is dedicated to the staff of the NHS, who provided the will and energy to change bricks and stone into centres of healing - until time and change brought down the curtain. Some of the ex-hospital buildings of London survive as community health care centres, nursing homes or  apartment blocks.  Some have been demolished and  their sites have become housing estates, supermarkets, and even prisons.  Some are being redeveloped or lie vacant.
