Page Text: A post shared by Jess Buck|JourneyswithJessica (@jessica16_x) on Jun 12, 2016 at 7:11pm PDT Hey everyone, I’m Jessica, and I’m the author of this blog! Nominated at the UK Blog Awards 2016 for Best Travel Blog, Journeys with Jessica is a UK based travel blog focused on  city breaks and short weekend stays. My blog gives an informal yet detailed and personal insight in to my adventures, from exploring Australia to America and visiting Europe to the UK, as well as hotel and restaurant reviews and destination guides aplenty. My blog has grown steadily since it was created over 6 years ago, with hundreds of new readers and an increased social media presence of almost 10,000 followers. I am passionate about promoting city breaks and short weekend stays and my favourite way to travel is by taking lots of multi-stop trips throughout the year. Why visit just Rome for a weekend when you can see Florence and Venice at the same time too?! I’ve inter-railed across Europe countless times and this remains my favourite way to travel – I’m forever writing about my inter-railing adventures on my blog and I can’t recommend it highly enough! I have expanded my blog significantly since it was first launched in 2014 and, during September 2016 – September 2017, I quit my day job to become a full time freelancer and travel blogger. During this time I worked as a freelance writer, content creator and social media manager and I worked with tourist boards, DMO’s and hotels on press trips and various collaboration projects. I had a fantastic year but in 2017 I went back to the standard 9-5 life to pursue a new career in the travel industry, working at luxury travel firm Abercrombie & Kent. I then left my job again to travel around Australia and Europe before starting my next job in the travel industry at another luxury firm, Oxford Private Travel. I still blog as much as I can in my spare time so am extremely excited about the prospect of growing my blog even further and cannot wait to share my future adventures with you all. Don’t forget to subscribe and follow me on all my social media channels! I have visited 30 countries over the past few years,  from Australia and America to Poland and Portugal, so please do come and follow me on my adventures as I take on the world! If you would like to get in contact with me please send an email to jessicalouise1601@gmail.com and I’ll reply as soon as possible. For more information on how you can collaborate with me, please visit my Work With Me  section. My media kit is also available on request. I hope you enjoy reading my travel blog and the many adventures I take throughout the year. Feel free to get in touch with any comments, feedback or any fellow travel stories you might have, and I look forward to hearing from you soon! Love Jess x
