Page Text: Return of the Pack Stay Informed Page Menu Next Steps Next Steps: After the Application Congratulations! You are on your way to becoming a Coyote! However, the Admissions process at CSUSB has many steps. It starts with submitting an application through Cal State Apply and will last all the way until your first day of classes. Below you will find the 6 major steps that all applicants to CSUSB must complete. Some students may have additional steps so please continue to check your myCoyote account and campus emails for updates and reminders throughout your admission process. Click on each tile for details, deadlines and requirements for each task in your Next Steps. Orientation will be your first real taste of life as a new Coyote. Orientation is designed to help you begin to feel at home on campus and help you become familiar with the wide range of academic opportunities available at CSUSB. Other Important Reminders Check your Coyote Email — Additional admission requirements and updates about your status will be sent to your CSUSB email account. If you miss a deadline your application will be canceled. Check your myCoyote and campus email accounts regularly – at least once a week. Apply for Financial Aid and Scholarships —  You can apply for Financial Aid at  fafsa.ed.gov . List Cal State San Bernardino as your school of choice – our school code is 001142. Visit our Financial Aid Office web page to apply for hundreds of scholarships offered by our campus. For Financial Aid related questions, please call (909) 537-5227. Review helpful information from Financial Aid & Scholarships Office Submit the California Dream Act Application —  The California Dream Act allows undocumented students who meet AB 540 criteria to apply for and receive certain state and institutional financial assistance. The application cannot be processed until you have submitted your AB 540 Affidavit. Apply for On-campus Housing —  If you are interested in living in one of our first-year student housing communities in Coyote or Serrano Village please complete the  online application . Housing is provided on a first-come, first-serve basis. If you have questions, call the  Department of Housing and Residential Education  at (909) 537-4155. Clear Holds —  Check your myCoyote  account for any holds which will keep you from being able to register for courses. Click on the details to see which office at CSUSB has placed the hold and to see instructions on how to get the hold removed. First-Year Students: Next Steps Important Dates Meeting all dates and deadlines are important steps on your transition to CSUSB. You must meet these deadlines to maintain your eligibility for enrollment at CSUSB. Missing any of the required steps may result in the cancellation of your admission to CSUSB!
