Located in the heart of downtown St. Augustine, the museum is housed in an iconic landmark building and is enjoyed by both tourists and locals alike. Location 75 King Street St. Augustine, Florida 32084 The Lightner Museum is located in the heart of historic downtown St. Augustine, Florida. It is 20 minutes from I-95, one hour from Jacksonville and Daytona Beach, and two hours from Disney World, Epcot Center and Cape Canaveral. Hours Open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Last admission is at 4:00 p.m. Ballroom Gallery closes at 4:30 p.m. Seven days a week, 363 days a year Closed Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day Hours may vary for some holidays, such as Christmas Eve. Children’s and adult group tours are by reservation. Please be prepared to check large bags at the front desk. FAQ Is the museum wheelchair accessible? Yes, the museum is wheelchair accessible. There are ramps on both sides of the building to arrive to the front door. The museum also has a limited number of wheelchairs for rental on a first come, first serve basis. The museum has an elevator that accesses each floor except into the historic pool. Tickets can be purchased online or at the museum. Tickets can only be used for one day. Reservations are recommended. The Cafe Alcazar is open 11 a.m. 3 p.m. and doors are open until 4 p.m. For more information or to make a reservation, please call 904-825-9948 Is there parking available? There is a city owned metered parking lot located directly behind the museum.  All metered parking spaces are free after 5 p.m. during the week, on Sundays, and on holidays. Please note, the museum does not have its own parking lot. Are dogs allowed in the museum? The Lightner Museum complies with all ADA requirements and accepts service animals in the museum as defined in the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The Lightner Museum does not allow Emotional Support Animals (ESA) or Comfort Animals, as they are not service animals as defined under the ADA. All service animals, and service animals in training entering the museum must be: -well-behaved; quiet and not interacting with other museum visitors or exhibitions -under the control of their handler at all times -housebroken Owners whose animals are not able to comply with these minimum standards will be asked to remove them from the building.
