Page Text: Kimberlé Crenshaw, Rep. Jamie Raskin Receive 2021 New Press Social Justice Awards Professor Crenshaw and Congressman Raskin will be honored in New York City on November 9, 2021, at The New Press Social Justice Awards Gala We’re pleased to announce that The New Press honored Kimberlé Crenshaw for her paradigm-shifting contributions to Critical Race Theory and Intersectionality, and Congressman Jamie Raskin (D-MD) for his efforts to uphold the rule of law, at The Social Justice Awards Gala on November 9, 2021, in New York City. Internships The New Press relies heavily on the help of its paid interns, treating them in many respects the way assistants are treated at other publishing houses and nonprofits. This means far greater exposure to interesting work than is normally afforded interns; it also calls for a degree of responsibility that is significantly greater than at most internships. Our New York office is large and efficient enough to offer a wide spectrum of experience, but small and casual enough for you to form intimate and lasting bonds with the staff.
