Page Text: Uru Carl is the weblog of Carl Palmner, explorer. Clinic Open House and Crystal Mysteries April 15th, 2022 Tenny’s Open House went great. I know because I read the log, not because I was there–I had obligations on the surface. It’s kind of a bummer, really. I helped lug all that equipment around and get it set up, and then I didn’t even get to be there at the official opening. The clinic looks great. I think it’s exactly what we need down here. I was a bit concerned about some of the dialogue between my good friend Calum Traveler and the doctor, though. I already knew Calum had sustained no serious head trauma from his little encounter with the Overflow saboteur, but I didn’t realize he’d started sleepwalking again. This would make sense if he had a concussion, but Quinlan insists that the examination resulted in a positive bill of health. Calum is fine. So why is he sleepwalking, having weird trances, acting like he’s been smoking Teledahn shrooms? A few were drawing connections between his odd behavior and his study of the crystal formations on Vertigo, an Age he’s Written. I knew about the crystals, but not about Calum’s current theory that they may be sentient. THAT is a shock. Is it possible that the crystals are affecting him as some are surmising–and worse, is it possible that they are doing it intentionally? Others have asked him not to study them alone anymore. I’m going to reinforce this with him. I’ll ask him to take me with him next time, and make sure we exercise caution. Calum’s a great guy, but he can sometimes be a little reckless. At any rate, I suppose it’s good to have a doctor right when people start getting hurt. Now if we could only figure out who it is that’s stealing stuff and breaking things. It’s definitely intentional sabotage. I’m certain of it. I have a gut feeling that this is the sign of a larger threat, but is it intuition or paranoia? Hard to tell. Share this:
