Page Text: How we minimise the environmental impact of our products. Did you know our books are carbon neutral? At Thryv Australia, we’re serious about minimising the environmental impact of our products, supporting small businesses and investing in our local communities. Our environmental policy is designed to: Integrate environmental management into our everyday operations Improve our environmental efficiency and core sustainability Help our supply chain reduce their carbon footprint where possible So how are we doing this? We produce carbon neutral directories. The Yellow Pages and White Pages directories (print and online) have been certified as carbon neutral by the Australian Government. You can find our public disclosure document here . We seek to procure certified paper first. Our aim is to produce our directories to a high standard. This is why we have a paper procurement strategy focused on certification. Subject to availability, our preference is for paper with Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certification, followed by Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC). Next is paper with a meaningful percentage of recycle content before considering virgin fibre that is not certified. We encourage recycling. We provide information to households about how to recycle their old directories. We know our print directory is recyclable by households through the correct council curb side collection process but its important households know this too therefore we provide the appropriate message in the directory on page 1. In addition to this for any directory received wrapped in plastic (to protect it), from mid-2021 recipients of the directory will see our partnership logos printed on the plastic. Thryv Australia has partnered with the Australian Packaging Covenant Organisation (www.apco.org.au) to support 2025 National Packaging Targets and Recycle (www.redcycle.net.au) to educate people on how best to recycle all types of household soft plastics. We practice what we preach. As a large organisation, we encourage all staff to reduce the environmental impacts of our office. Our initiatives are based around the themes of reduce, recycle, switch off and travel sustainably. We’re careful about distributing books. We focus on delivering printed directories to the people who are most likely to value and use them. Don’t want the printed directory to be delivered to you anymore? No problem. Visit www.directoryselect.com.au to cancel your delivery. Products
