Tuesday, January 16, 2007 MY JANUARY SCARF I thought it would be fun to start posting a Scarf of the Month. So this is the first in a series of scarf patterns. Some will be knit and some crocheted. Some will be for warmth and some just for fun. Knit with bulky or worsted weight yarn and larger than usual needles, this highly textured scarf is of the for warmth variety. I hope you enjoy the pattern. Suzetta SIZE: 6 inches X 60 inches MATERIALS: Yarn: Bulky about 190 yds (Worsted weight to be determined) Needles: US 11, 8 mm (US 10, 5.75 mm) Yarn needle Bulky 12 sts = 4 inches Worsted 16 sts = 4 inches Row gauge unimportant Instructions are for bulky yarn, worsted weight in (_) Cast-on 18 (26)stitches Row 1: *K2, P2* repeat across ending K2 Row 2: *P2, K2* repeat across ending P2 Rows 3-4: Knit across Repeat rows 1-4 until as long as you like. Knit 3 rows and bind off.
