Saturday, May 26, 2018 KNIT CAT MAT KNIT CAT MAT I wanted the mats to be nice and cushy, so used two strands yarn.  Have taken several to our Humane Society and they were happy to receive them. Size: Approximately 15x15 inches Materials: Two colors of worsted weight yarn about 100 grams (3.5 ounces) of each color, 200 grams total. Size US 10.5 (6.5mm) circular needle at least 24 inches long Tapestry needle Notes: Mat is worked with two strands throughout. Tied together using this technique: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-nq_7EXTWHE&feature=youtu.be I wouldn’t use this technique for anything else, but I figure with two strands and for animals it will be okay.
