Young professional, 26, diagnosed with terminal cancer after buying a one-way ticket overseas to be with the 'love of her life' shares her ONLY symptom - and message for all Australian women
At the age of 26, Katie-Marie Thorpe (above) bought a one-way ticket to the UK and was getting ready to relocate her life overseas. The young media manager from Sydney quit her job, sold her car for extra cash and was head over heels in love with a 'perfect' English man (pictured together right). But three weeks prior to the flight she received the devastating news that she had stage three breast cancer. Katie-Marie (pictured with her mum bottom left) endured 18 rounds of chemo (top left) and thought she had beaten the disease before she was told that the cancer had returned - and this time, it was terminal.
