Page Text: May 18, 2017 • 1 Quinn bio Stephen Quinn has worked as a journalist and journalism teacher for almost five decades in nine countries. He makes videos and teaches people how to make videos with only a smartphone. He also writes screenplays for feature movies and short films. His most recent film is here . Dr Quinn has been writing about wine, and making videos about wine, since March 2010. (Notes updated 25 February 2022) Stephen Quinn has published 26 print books (the latest appeared in 2018) as well as four iBooks. Details about all of his books can be found here . He also runs a small press that publishes poetry books. Dr Quinn is a part-time professor of mobile journalism at Kristiania University College in Norway, where he teaches mojo video skills. He also runs MOJO Media Insights, a digital consulting company based in Brighton in the UK. From 2011-13 Dr Quinn was digital development editor at the South China Morning Post in Hong Kong. Prior to his return to journalism, Dr Quinn taught multi-media journalism at universities in Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates, the United States and China between 1996 and 2011. Between 1975 and 1995 Dr Quinn worked across all media platforms in Australia, Thailand, the United Kingdom and New Zealand. He has been a journalist with regional newspapers in Australia; the Bangkok Post; the Press Association, BBC-TV, Independent Television News and The Guardian in London; the Australian Broadcasting Corporation in Sydney; the Middle East Broadcasting Center in Dubai; and Television New Zealand. MOJO: The Mobile Journalism Handbook (Boston: Focal Press 2015), co-written with Dr Ivo Burum is one of the world’s most adopted books about mojo. Find it at Amazon here . More about his books can be found at his Amazon author page . Dr Quinn, wine poseur Wine writing: Dr Quinn currently contributes to a range of print and online wine magazines and web sites. He published a weekly wine column online for almost a decade (archives can be found here ). The print magazines include Meininger’s Wine Business International (Germany), Lieu Dit (UK), the drinks business (UK) and Sommelier India. Examples of magazine articles can be found on this site as pdf files or links. Dr Quinn is currently on the committee of the Circle of Wine Writers (CWW) and a board director of the International Federation of Wine Journalists (FIJEV). He administers Fijev’s YouTube channel .
