Page Text: Field Notes: Instagram Polls (Part 5 - National Parks)

I realized I have months worth of Instagram polls I have not recorded here in the blog, so bear with me as I play catch-up. :)
Here are all the National Parks -related polls I conducted starting a couple weeks after its release in early July 2019. As you may know, National Parks (the 2019 Summer edition) comes in 3 different sets (Series A, Series B, and Series C) but I created these poll with all of them collectively. So, I tried to pair them with other editions that had a lot of different covers (3 or more).
National Crop vs. National Parks
Poll start date: July 26, 2019
Total number of votes: 128
Winner: National Parks (73%)
The very first match I thought of was National Crop . How could I not? National vs. National. I rooted for National Crop because I simply love the designs on each crop (and prefer solid colors), so I was bit sad to see it lose.
Two Rivers vs. National Parks
Poll start date: August 2, 2019
Total number of votes: 121
Winner: National Parks (82%)
I rooted for Two Rivers to win, too, but unfortunately National Parks once again won. Decisively, too. There’s just something about Two Rivers that make it so easy to use (and I’ve used up many so far), definitely less intimidating to use than National Parks, in my opinion. But I can see the allure of National Parks, too. The illustrations are simply gorgeous.
Workshop Companion vs. National Parks
Poll start date: August 9, 2019
Total number of votes: 110
Winner: National Parks (85%)
Maybe it’s because I’m not a big fan of Workshop Companion but I was not surprised by its loss in this poll. But wow, check out that margin. It’s the biggest in this post. Ouch.
America the Beautiful vs. National Parks
Poll start date: August 16, 2019
Total number of votes: 114
Winner: National Parks (73%)
America the Beautiful only had 3 unique covers but I couldn’t resist this match-up, as both editions have strong Americana as the theme and have non-solid covers. It wasn’t easy but I chose America the Beautiful; I just love the design with the white border too much. By this time though, I’d expected the newcomer to win and was not very surprised by the result.
Coastal vs. National Parks
Poll start date: August 23, 2019
Total number of votes: 95
Winner: National Parks (58%)
If anything would give National Parks a run for its money, I thought Coastal would do it, since it’s one of the newer editions and has fancy foil stamping. I was almost right. That’s the slimmest margin in this post. Exciting! (I rooted for Coastal. Did I mention holographic foil?)
Drink Local vs. National Parks
Poll start date: August 30, 2019
Total number of votes: 140
Winner: National Parks (68%)
Another edition that I thought might have a chance was Drink Local . But nope! National Parks wins again! This was a really tough pick but I went with Drink Local because of its warm, solid colors.
Wow, a clean sweep for National Parks ! People REALLY like it, don’t they? Or is it a recency bias? Either way, I like it a lot myself. I love the theme, the illustrations, the French Paper cover stock, etc. Well done, Field Notes.
What are your reactions to these polls? As I’ve said in my previous posts , these results represent only a small percentage of Field Notes fans, probably limited to people who follow me and/or happen to view my Instagram Stories at the right time, etc, etc.
