Page Text: Wreck of WWII Italian Sub Discovered April 2022 Underwater explorer Kostas Thoctarides announced in January that he and his team have discovered the wreck of the Italian submarine Jantina, sunk by the Royal Navy during World War II. USS Kitty Hawk, Navy’s Last Oil-Fired Carrier, Bound for Scrapyard April 2022 Efforts were made to raise money to preserve the Kitty Hawk as a museum ship, but her fate, like that of so many other venerable vessels, will be the scrapyard.
