Construction of the new school commenced in November 2019 and will continue through until late 2021, supporting more than 450 local jobs. The new school welcomed its first intake of Year 7 students in Term 1, 2021 and will continue to grow each year until 2026. The school features specialised facilities for science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics (STEAM), communication, humanities and social sciences. These facilities surround a ‘learning oasis’ at the heart of the campus, which provides outdoor and green space for learning and interaction. The $2.6 billion BFS program is delivering new state schools in Queensland’s fastest growing communities to provide new and innovative education facilities for families and children within their local area.
