Page Text: Join Unlocking Color Secrets About Me I first knew I wanted to be an artist when I was in 8th grade. I was blessed to have a compassionate art teacher that invested in me and greatly encouraged me along the way. Growing up in a military family, I traveled around the world and was exposed to many cultures. My parents took me to many museums (my favorite, being the Impressionists). As I look back, I am so thankful for all of those experiences as they greatly influenced my direction as an artist. I feel so fulfilled when I am able to share my passion for painting with exciting colors. It serves as my biggest inspiration for Unlocking Color Secrets. I would love to be able to share my passion with you. Join Unlocking Color Secrets My Approach I enjoy painting a variety of subjects, but most importantly expressing them with exciting colors, lighting, and emotion. My Process I paint using the ‘Alla Prima’ method of painting (working wet into wet, usually in one sitting). Credits I am eternally thankful to God for allowing me to do what I am most compelled to do: express myself through my painting. Words from current students “Thank you for doing these online classes! I can’t tell you what a blessing it has been!  Last year was such a tough year and with most of my usual activities and jobs cancelled I had too much time to be in my head.  This has really been a mood booster!!!! Not to mention all that I have learned! I look forward to each lesson and can’t believe how much I improve each week.” Ann B. “I’ve had the good fortune to not only learn from Chris Brandley but now I’m blessed to call her friend. Chris is not only an extraordinary teacher, she’s just a very good person! She’s so compassionate with her time and energy. When studying with her she is so willing to help, offer advice and she shares her knowledge selflessly. I’ve followed her to Florida, Italy, and in June we’re going to France for workshops. I’m never disappointed! Each time with Chris, when you pick up your brush, you learn something new. Her use of glorious color is captivating, leaving you wanting more! I would highly recommend Chris Brandley, you won’t be disappointed! I can proudly attest to the fact that I am a Chris Brandley Groupie and I love her! Lisa G. “Hi Chris, I just want to let you know how much I appreciate all the hard work you put into making your online lessons! They are so crystal clear and much more easy to follow!
