Page Text: Add your proof of vaccination status Search Unite and Recover Add your proof of vaccination status Add your proof of vaccination status Easing of restrictions From 14 April 2022, you only need to check in and show proof of vaccination status when visiting or working at these locations: hospitals corrective services facilities detention centres. You must also check in and show proof of vaccination status if you work at a school, childcare or an airport. You can add your COVID-19 digital certificate to the Check In Qld app. The updated version of the app allows you to check in and display your vaccination status at the same time. You will need to: have had all doses required of an approved or recognised COVID-19 vaccine before you can add a digital certificate to the app make sure that you have the latest version of the app on your device. Check In Qld app Open the app and open the menu from the top left hand side. Select 'COVID-19 digital certificate' and tap 'add certificate' via myGov. Log-in to your myGov account, scroll to 'Proof of COVID-19 vaccination' and then select 'Go to Medicare'. Tap 'View history' and choose 'Share with check in app' and choose to share with Check In Qld. Tap 'Accept and share', then 'Accept'. Express Plus Medicare mobile app If you're using the Express Plus Medicare mobile app: Select 'Proof of vaccinations' from Services. Select 'View history'. Select your name, then 'Share with check in app'. Choose an app to share your certificate with and select 'Share'. Contact Services Australia if you need assistance to access your Express Plus Medicare mobile app. Medicare online account through myGov If you’re using your Medicare online account through myGov on your device: Sign in to your myGov account using a browser on your device. Select 'Medicare'. Select 'View proof' in Proof of vaccinations. Select 'View history'. Select 'Share with check in app'. Select ‘Check In Qld' and follow the prompts to add your certificate to your profile. Contact Services Australia if you need assistance to access your myGov account. Individual Healthcare Identifier (IHI) If you’re not eligible for Medicare and need proof of your COVID-19 vaccination online, you’ll need an Individual Healthcare Identifier (IHI). You can get an IHI through myGov. Sign in to your myGov account using a browser on your device. Select 'Individual Healthcare Identifiers service'. Select 'Immunisation history'. Select 'Share with check in app'. Select ‘Check In Qld' and follow the prompts to add your digital certificate to your profile. Contact Services Australia if you need assistance to access your myGov account. Adding your medical exemption certificate to the app If you can’t get any of the approved COVID-19 vaccines for medical reasons, this will be recorded by your doctor on your immunisation history statement and on your COVID-19 digital certificate. This is called a medical contraindication . Your statement or certificate can be used as proof of your vaccination status. You can also add your certificate to your Check In Qld app. Other ways to provide your proof of vaccination If you don’t have a mobile device, there are other ways you can provide proof of your COVID-19 vaccination status or evidence of medical contraindication. Using the Check In Qld app is optional. You can show staff at high-risk locations: written confirmation of COVID-19 vaccination given to the person, such as a record of vaccine card a COVID-19 digital certificate or printed vaccination certificate from the Australian Immunisation Register an online or printed immunisation history statement for COVID-19, including confirmation of a medical contraindication an international COVID-19 vaccination certificate. You can access proof of your COVID-19 vaccination status: online using your Medicare online account through myGov by using the Express Plus Medicare app online using the Individual Healthcare Identifiers service through myGov by calling the Australian Immunisation Register on 1800 653 809 by asking your GP to print a copy of your immunisation history statement. Checking in with other people If you’re checking in with another person, they still need to provide their proof of vaccination through the app or by another method. Showing proof of vaccination for other people you're checking in Once you’ve added your own COVID-19 digital certificate to your Check In Qld app on your device, you can then add COVID-19 digital certificates of guests including children you regularly check in with. This can be done by the person signing into their myGov account on your device and authorising to send their certificate to the Check In Qld app. For children under 14 years and vaccinated, parents or guardians can do this on their behalf, following the same process. Staff responsibilities in checking vaccination status Staff at high-risk locations that are restricted to vaccinated visitors may ask to see your vaccination status. Visitors 16 years and over must carry proof of their vaccination status and be prepared to show this upon request.
