Everyone can help reduce the risk by doing a few small things to help keep everyone COVID safe:
Get vaccinated and get a booster when you can—the vaccine is safe and effective, and will protect you from COVID-19.
Get a COVID-19 test if you have symptoms—you should only go to get a PCR test if you cannot access a Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) and:
you have COVID-19 symptoms, or
you are a close contact, or
you need a COVID-19 test to leave home quarantine (e.g. as a close contact or overseas traveller).
Find a testing centre .
If you, or anyone under your care, test positive on a RAT, you can report your positive result online . You do not need to get a PCR test.
Stay home when sick—if you are feeling unwell, even with only very mild symptoms, it’s extremely important to get tested and stay home until you get the results.
Check the COVID-19 symptoms .
Keep your distance—maintain physical distancing (1.5m) when you’re outside your home. Keep your distance if you can: at the shops, on public transport, at work, and when you’re visiting with others. Shaking hands, hugging and kissing hello are still not COVID safe.
