Importance and advantages of forming a society in present scenario over other business structures.
The co-operative movement started because to protect the interests of weaker sections of society. The primary or main objective of this movement is ‘how to protect economically weaker sections of society’ from the middlemen who gain illegally by eating away the major chunk of the profits. In all forms of business structures whether be it is a sole trade, partnership or joint stock company, the primary motive is to increase profits. A co-operative society is a voluntary association of individuals having common needs who join hands for the achievement of common economic interest. Its aim is to serve the interest of the poorer sections of society through the principle of self-help and mutual help. Cooperative Societies Act is a Central Act.
The purpose of a NSC-MITWS cooperative is to realize the economic, cultural and social needs of the our members and its surrounding community.
NSC-MITWS is a social entrepreneurship startup for farmers, rural youths and women. It is a community initiative and we are ensuring the participation of each members of the Nawabganj Sabjee Cooperative significantly in the progress of this social entrepreneurship program and it’s dicision making process. The cooperative is working for the enhancement of organic farming, sustainable scientific agriculture practices, contractual medicinal farming, production of bio fertilizer, organic fertilizers and organic pesticides based on the locally available resources, and training program for farmers, rural youth and women. We are establishing NSC in order to achieve following important objectives-
To promote farmers for adopting organic cultivation.
To adopt various programs of government for community development of rural areas.
To adopt various scientific and technological tools and techniques for upgrading the traditional cultivation methodologies in order to make them more ecofriendly and more scientific.
To ensure the involvement of rural people in this community startup program for raising the income of the farmers.
To participate various goverment programs especially for rural developments.
To enhance opportunities for rural employments and promote new startup in the rural areas.
To reduce the excessive use of pesticides and chemical fertilizers.
To provide training to farmers and rural youth for organic farming.
To work actively for reducing pollution in the environment and adopting best ecofriendly practice in agriculture and other rural activities.
To promote marketing, distribution and transportation of organic agricultural products ( especially vegetables and fruits)
To promote other agricultural based startups for rural development, enhance employment opportunities among youth.
To promote women self supporting groups for rural development.
To provide volunteer programs for students and scholars to participate various activities and program related with rural development and startups.
To make collaboration of small and medium size industries to support farmers and sustainable organic farming.
