Most memes tend to fade away as quickly as they came, little bursts of funny that flicker for a brief period before snuffing out, becoming just another archived piece of Internet history. Many times they star ordinary folks who find themselves in hilarious or inexplicable situations, only to be later confounded by their 15 minutes of viral internet fame.
So whatever your opinions on Bhad Bhabie, the raunchy Florida native — born Danielle Bregoli — who barreled into the public consciousness at age 13, uttering the words “ Cash me outside, how bout dah? ” on a 2016 Dr. Phil episode, you gotta give her some credit for managing to stick around. Not only is she still famous, still a major internet celebrity, that single unscripted line has also made her immensely wealthy.
Today, Bregoli is 19 and raunchier than ever. She’s also richer than ever — one of the richest “self-made” teenagers on the planet, with a personal net worth believed by some to be well into the eight figures. Last month, she paid $6.1 million for a bonafide mansion in Palm Beach County, within a guard-gated community in the the affluent town of Boca Raton. Records reveal the “These Heaux” rapper does not have a mortgage on the property.
Of course, Bregoli had some help along the way. Her manager was instrumental in landing her a multimillion-dollar deal with Atlantic Records (the label and Bregoli have since parted ways), and social media made her popular with the Gen-Z crowd. She’s reportedly earned millions in brand deals with online retailers like Fashion Nova and CopyCat Beauty, and has since launched her own indie music label. Worldwide, her music has been streamed more than 1.5 billion times.
But the primary source of Bregoli’s wealth is also the most controversial. On her 18th birthday, she joined OnlyFans , the paid subscription platform that has gained notoriety as a favorite of sex workers. Bregoli earned $1 million in her first six hours on the site, shattering the OnlyFans record but engendering much public criticism. Bregoli, who posts scantily-clad pictures and videos on the platform, won’t say how much she’s raked in since then, but notes it’s enough to make her “set for life.” And it’s also clearly enough to buy her a mansion in one of America’s most expensive counties.
