Page Text: Visiting the Library NEWS UPDATE 25.2.22: With our grateful thanks to volunteer support to make this possible we're highly delighted to announce that we are back open to drop-in visitors, on Friday afternoons from 1 to 4.30pm. We are welcoming visitors who want to see our newly refreshed ground floor display area and our guest exhibition Working class readers in Victorian Manchester and Salford . No need to book. We ask all visitors to wear face coverings and to be mindful of keeping a reasonable distance from other visitors, WCML volunteers and staff. Our reading room is open by appointment to a maximum of three readers a day. Anyone wishing to book a place can do so by emailing us on info @ wcml.org.uk.  The reading room is open Tuesdays to Fridays 10am to 4pm. In order to offer places to as many people as possible we may need to say that you can book a place only for a maximum of two days in any fortnight period. Please contact us for information about how groups can visit together to study here by booking space in our meeting room on Tuesdays and Thursdays. You can find information  here  about measures we have put in place to keep you safe when you visit - we are asking visitors to our building still to wear face coverings and to maintain reasonable social distancing. Sorry but we still do not have the capacity to organise tours. We will keep you informed on progress towards wider re-opening of our facilities as soon as we can.  We know it's not the same as a real visit but we're nonetheless very pleased to be able to offer a self-guided virtual tour of the library building - head to www.wcml.org.uk/virtualtour .
