Your farm has grown. It’s no longer cost effective nor efficient to use human labor for all
Field work. Where do you go from here?
I will explore different options to help you mechanize your farm, from small- to mid-sized equipment; from hand-run equipment like the paper chain planting system to different-sized tractor options.
The Painted Tulip Flower Farm is one and half acre cut flower farm in Vermont, which began with all human labor. Over the years I have slowly mechanized to make farming easier and more efficient. My farm is no-till, through which I have built up my soil from gravel to soil with good humate levels. I still use people to weed and plant.
I look forward to share options and answering questions.
