This is a no-bake recipe. It can be served immediately, chilled or warmed-up – however you like it! Preparation takes 10 minutes and making it takes about half an-hour. It’s very easy to make and it’s ideal for tea break to enjoy with milk tea!
In my version of this recipe, I cut short on making the dough, only focusing on making the cinnamon filling and icing. I substitute the dough with 2 loaves of the bakery’s soft bread. I used Roti Delights which can be found at NTUC and it cost S$1.00 a loaf. All ingredients which I used are also available at NTUC.

There is two part to this recipe. You should make the filling first followed by the icing. Here’s what you need for the ingrdients:
Filling
1 cup packed dark brown sugar
2/3 cup margarine, melted
Method: Pour everything into a medium bowl and stir.
Icing
¼ cup (½ stick) margarine, softened
1 tablespoon whole milk
½ cup (4 ounces) plain 60% low fat Philadelphia cream cheese, softened
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
1 ½ cups powdered sugar (you may reduce the powdered sugar if you like to have it less sweet)
Methods:
(1) Cream the margarine and cream cheese with hand-mixer on high speed.
(2) Add vanilla extract and hit the mixer again for 3 – 5 seconds.
(3) Add powdered sugar part by part until it combines into the mixture. Use hand-mixer on low-speed.
(4) Add the milk and mix again until the icing becomes smooth and consistent.
Serve
(1) Cut the bread loaf in small bite pieces and assemble one layer on a dish.
(2) Brush the filling on one side of the surface of the bread.
(3) Pour the icing on the bread with a spatula.
Repeat steps 1 – 3 until you fill the whole dish with a few layers.
