Page Text: 1 1/2 C plain yogurt (I prefer organic Greek yogurt)
2 large eggs
8 Tablespoons melted and cooled butter
1 1/2 Cups of blueberries
Directions:
Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit
Whisk 3 cups of flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt together in a large bowl.
In separate bowl, whisk yogurt and eggs together until smooth.
Combine yogurt mixture with flour mixture.
Add butter (missed that in the recipe card above! oops!) and stir.
Toss blueberries in 1 tablespoon of flour. Add to batter, carefully folding it in.
Divide batter into oiled muffin tins, heaping full!
Bake for about 20-25 minutes or until you place a knife in the center and it comes out clean.
Wait to cool for 10 minutes in pan. Take out and enjoy!

Spring Home Decorating Ideas | Tour 2022

I'm so excited that we can see the light at the end of this wintery tunnel! Winter is not my thing, and I look forward to the first day of spring every year. That being said, where I'm at, spring is usually still full of snow, not flowers and bees :) But, that's okay. As long as the snow stays off the roads. We just got about 5 inches of snow last night, so sharing my spring home feels a little surreal right now. Maybe I jinxed us, ha!

Okay, let's get started! Today, I'm sharing a room in my house that has seen the most changes throughout the years. It's become an oasis where I like to take my morning coffee and to just get away from the crazy that may be going on in the rest of the house.

I'm not big floral type gal, so even for my spring decor I keep it simple and just add greenery here and there. I tend to remove my heavier pillows and blankets and switch them out for ones with lighter fabrics. I still love all the layers though, so even though the blankets are airier, they are plentiful! :)
On this bookshelf, I decided to remove the doors and add in a lot of my vintage books. I love the texture that books bring! I brought in this new lamp from my collection with Antique Farm House and filled in the other space with candles and this cute thrifted perpetual calendar. This mirror is a new find also from Hobby Lobby.

This space above my couch has always been hard for me to decorate ever since I moved the secretary hutch in here that's to the right. After changing things around for the past year trying to find the perfect combo, I think I finally found one I liked! This accordion hanger was found at a flea market for $1. Yep! Crazy, huh? Funnier even is that we used to have these in my home growing up. It's so weird to see things like that coming back in style. I styled it with this cute sea grass wall basket , a small wreath and wood beads. That little white piece above was a thrifted find as well.

This room isn't just my sanctuary from the crazy :)... it's also a guest room! This couch folds out into a bed so it's super deep, which is of course perfect for me and my pillow hoard :) I love piling the pillows on it! I went with a little ruffles and some tassels for spring.

Here's my secretary hutch that I found about a year ago. It was pretty ugly when I bought it, but some chalk paint prettied her up :) We homeschool, and this is the desk one of my kids uses for their schoolwork. I just love the history of the piece and how it's actually being used. Even more so, I'd like to think this may be a fond memory my little one has later on in life about doing school on an antique secretary desk :) Also...I'm surprised she even touches it, ha! She's the one that won't touch a darn thing in a thrift shop or flea market because it's "gross". lol Oh, and she also sits on that antique shop chair :)
Let's swing around to this other corner. I moved a few smaller pieces around the past month and my apothecary cabinet ended up in here. I'm still deciding if this is it's place or not. Also, deciding if this is it's color too! I think if it stays, it'll end up getting painted white and distressed. I want the focus of the room to by on my mantel. We shall see! What do you think? Leave it, paint it?
For my "coffee table" I use a storage bench! It's perfect for the way I have this room set up with it's narrow width. It's also perfect in the fact it hides a ton of toys! When this thing is opened, it's like a full on stocked toy kitchen and restaurant. But, while it's closed, I like to make it pretty with this vintage wood fruit tray, cage lanterns and old books :)
Now for my mantel! I still count myself lucky for scoring this vintage beauty for only $70! It's unvarnished mahogany and has so much detail! I once...a long time ago...wanted to paint it. I'm so thankful that idea passed and never happened!
For my spring mantel decor, I went with weeping green garland and terracotta pots. I think terracotta pots are a year around thing, but I especially love to bring them out for my spring decor. I've been playing around with what to put in the middle of this faux fireplace. I removed all the book pages and it feels so blank now! I decided that layers are usually a good thing, so I placed these white architectural pieces in the back and used an antique basket in front with some old books and candles.
Here it is without the basket. Feels so empty now! I do love it both ways though. Can you tell I'm still deciding on how to put this room together? ha! Trust me, there have been many tours in the past, that my decor already changed even before my home tour goes live. I guess that's what I do! Change, change, and change! I can never make up my mind :)

New for this year is this chair. Before, I had a set of antique Scandinavian chairs in front of the mantel, but decided to bring this upholstered one in here instead. Mainly because it's a ton more comfortable to sit on and sip my morning coffee :) Also, having something new is always fun...well, old, but new in this space.
For the last corner of this room. In truth, this corner hardly ever got shared before. It's used to be, and usually still is, my junk corner. The corner that all the returns find themselves, or unopened packages and bags from my latest shopping trip. It's usually a hot mess! But, I cleaned it to showcase the pretty frames from my Antique Farm House collection and have actually kept it cluttered free for a whole week! ... it's the small wins :)

What I love so much about this room are all the antique, vintage, and thrifted finds I have in here like the large hutch and chair above to the mantel, secretary hutch and all the books and vases. This room has come a long way from where it started when we moved in. It took some time, multiple changes in what decorating style I thought I wanted, thinking that other people's style was my own, then finally finding my own style to get to this space I have today. I obviously am still moving things around and figuring it out, but that's a normal process :)
