Page Text: Graham Scobie - Aussie Spoken Bloke Bush Poetry CD by Moruya singer-songwriter, Graham Scobie. $10 inc gst/postage "Aussie Spoken Bloke" is a collection of 15 bush poems written and spoken by Graham Scobie. Half were written during the 2019/2020 bushfire season. Graham is a volunteer with the NSW Rural Fire Service and on 23 Jan 2020 a bushfire engulfed the farm he shares with his wife, Michelle, just outside the NSW south coast town of Moruya. It took out 5km of fences as well as the tractor shed and damaged over 500 acres of bush and pasture. Some of the poems reflect this fire season, as well as the drought that preceded it. Half have been recorded as songs on Graham’s albums By the Banks of the Billabong, 100 Years Australia, Aussie Gospel Bloke and Granite Town but all started life as bush verse. Several have been recognised as finalists in national songwriting competitions. The CD can be purchased for $10 including GST and postage by emailing Graham here. Individual poems can be downloaded via most popular digital sites.
