Page Text: Stage What to Expect A recruiter will review your resume and email you about the next steps in the interview process or let you know it’s not a fit this time around. Either way, you’ll hear from us! A recruiter or hiring manager will call you to talk about your career interests and the details of the open role. Afterwards, they will prep you for the next steps. For some roles, we offer a take-home component. For Customer Success roles, you may be asked to demonstrate the writing skills you’d use to support our users. For Engineering roles, you’ll solve a coding problem on your own, or on a video call in a real time coding environment, collaborating with a Cash App engineer. Your “onsite” interview may be virtual or in-person. We’ll try to find out as much as possible about the way you work, think and collaborate. On the flip side, you’ll get to know us! You’ll meet several interviewers from different teams. For design and writing roles, you may be asked to present your portfolio to a group of designers and engineers. If it turns out there’s an opportunity at Cash App that fits your skills and your goals, your recruiter will email you an offer letter. Tips for preparing Update your resume and/or LinkedIn profile (both are application options). Check your spam folder! Emails sometimes get trapped in there. Review the requirements in the job description, and describe any related experience not reflected on your resume. Be able to answer the question, “Why Cash App?,” as we’re always curious to hear what piqued your interest! Be transparent about what’s important to you in your next career. It’ll help us talk expectations up-front. Practice using any required tools indicated by your recruiter. We don’t ask trick questions and want to see you work as you normally would. Google anything you need to and include comments as usual. For engineering roles, you can choose a language if your recruiter doesn’t specify one. Be ready with examples of your past projects, contributions to other companies, or lessons you’ve learned from a success (or a failure)! Take your time! Give yourself a moment to understand interview questions and answer when you’re ready. Interviews go both ways! Ask whatever you need to decide if Cash App is where you want to grow your career. Get your portfolio ready and ask your Recruiting Coordinator about the setup that’s needed for you to present as you’d prefer. Make sure your recruiter knows what’s important to you in your next career move and if you’re considering any opportunities elsewhere. They’ll be able to speak to what Cash App can offer, highlighting what best aligns with your priorities. Early Careers
