Busking Competition
On the Saturday of the Muster Weekend the village of Bungendore hosts the Signflair Busking Competition with $1000 in prize money to be won.
The competition runs from 9am to midday and is open to all non-professional buskers. The $1000 prize money is shared by the judges award for Bush Balladeer and 1st, 2nd and 3rd place getters in the people’s choice awards. There is also a judge’s award which is judged on Australian bush ballad content and the winner of this receives a certificate and an opportunity to appear on stage in the Muster on Saturday afternoon.
There is an entry fee of $10 per entry and to enter simply complete the entry form and email or mail to the Bungendore Country Music Muster Busking Coordinator with payment by cheque or direct deposit.
The closing date for receipt of entries is the TUESDAY before the Muster weekend. Late entries will be accepted in person at the Bungendore Country Music Muster Secretary’s office at the showground until THURSDAY 12.00 NOON.

Performance locations will be drawn on Thursday evening after the close of entries on Thursday and will be displayed with a map at the Muster Office at the Showground and outside the Woodworks Gallery from 11:15 Friday Morning. The Buskers office opens at 8:15am on Saturday to answer any questions. All buskers are welcome to sell their music at their performance location on the day.
Buskers are allowed to use amplification but need to ensure that sound levels are within acceptable levels for a busking competition. The muster supervisors may request buskers to reduce sound volumes if they have concerns.
