Prize Patrol Delivers Awards to Nominees The FCCPS and FCEF Prize Patrol was out and about in our schools to deliver the surprise nominations for FCEF Teacher of the Year. It was a great day that was met with cheers and applause from excited students and staff. The winner of the FCEF Teacher of the Year will be awarded in May at the FCCPS Celebration of Excellence. The nominees for 2022 FCEF Teacher of the Year are: Dorothy Baden-Mayer, First Grade Teacher, Mt. Daniel Elementary School Meaghan Barret, Early Childhood Teacher, Jessie Thackrey Preschool Clare Bournigal, Math Teacher, Mary Ellen Henderson Middle School Torey Fay, Fifth Grade Teacher, Oak Street Elementary School Jennifer Jayson, Math Teacher, Meridian High School Kate Mahr, Special Education Teacher, Mt. Daniel Elementary School Terry Mountain, Kindergarten Teacher, Mt. Daniel Elementary School Kristin Sherard, Special Education & Math Teacher, Meridian High School​ The Falls Church Education Foundation is pleased to support the Falls Church City Public Schools' Teacher of the Year Award.  All nominees receive two courtesy tickets to the FCEF Gala & Auction, courtesy of the Steve & Nancy Sprague Teacher Leadership Fund, and the overall winner receives a prize of $1500, funded by the Foundation. ---------------------------------------------------------- The 2021 FCEF Teacher of the Year was Will Snyder, GMHS Computer Science Teacher The 2020 FCEF Teacher of the Year was Layton McCann, Fifth Grade Teacher, Thomas Jefferson Elementary School. The 2019 FCEF Teacher of the Year was Marc Robarge, GMHS art teacher. The 2018 FCEF Teacher of the Year was Farrell Kelly, 7th grade history teacher. The 2017 FCEF Teacher of the Year was Lisa Allan, Thomas Jefferson 4th grade teacher.
