Page Text: Other Festival Activities What's On The Tamworth Country Music Festival is Australia's largest music festival and one of the top 10 music festivals in the world. Usually held in January, the 2022 Festival has been postponed to 18-24 April 2022 due to major changes to COVID-19 safety measures for NSW and the current situation. The variety of country music is endless during the festival with over 700 performers and 2,800 shows across 120 different venues. There are hundreds of buskers in Peel Street alone, providing a diverse range of entertainment each day – it’s no wonder we attract over 300,000 visitors across the 10 days! The pinnacle event of the festival are The Toyota Golden Guitars -  Country Music Awards of Australia,  when the who’s who of Australian country music gather with country music fans to see who will win the famous Golden Guitars. The Awards are held on the second Saturday of the festival at the Tamworth Regional Entertainment and Conference Centre (locally referred to as TRECC).
