Page Text: F.A.Q. Q: What should my child wear? A:  Athletic clothes appropriate for the weather. Shin guards are REQUIRED and worn under the socks. Soccer cleats are recommended; turf shoes, indoor shoes, and tennis shoes are okay to wear. No baseball or other sport cleat allowed on soccer pitch for safety reasons. Under layers, gloves, hats, and rain jackets are recommended to wear if the weather calls for them. Q: Should my child bring a ball? A: Yes, we recommend each child bring their own ball, clearly labeled with their name and phone number. Otherwise practice balls will be at camp and available for use. Q: Can my child bring a snack? A: Yes, we recommend that your child brings a snack. Please avoid any snacks that contain nuts. Also your child should bring enough water to last them for the duration of the camp each day. Q: Will camp get cancelled for weather? A: We will only cancel camp for weather that is dangerous for children to play outside (thunder/lightning, high winds, snow), otherwise expect to play through the rain. Email notification will be sent if session is cancelled. If the weather changes mid-session: At Chief Kanim MS, we will walk players to front of school, under the front awning for shelter, and call parents as appropriate. If at Big Rock Park, we will walk players to the restrooms building, and call parents as appropriate.
