Updated March 25, 2022 by Erik Petrovich: Elden Ring has officially been out for a month, and it's hard to say that the scope of the game is anything but enormous. In that time the staff at Game Rant have made lots of progress, though there are few who can say they've seen Elden Ring's end credits. This Complete Guide to Elden Ring now covers most of the game's content until Mt Gelmir and Leyndell, including bosses like Morgott the Omen King and walkthroughs for the Royal Capital and areas underneath. The armaments section has been split into separate Weapons and Armor sections, and there is now a dedicated section for Walkthroughs separate from simpler location guides. Dozens of guides for NPC questlines, spell locations, boss strategies, puzzles, Ashes of War, Spirit Summons, and more have also been added to this extensive directory for the enormous RPG.
New And Returning Mechanics In Elden Ring
Elden Ring introduces a number of new mechanics to the traditional Souls formula. These new mechanics generally make the game more approachable for new players and veterans alike by taking away the needless inconveniences of FromSoftware titles past. Mastering these new mechanics is essential to being able to succeed in this game, partially because encounters are designed with systems like Guard Counters and Jump Attacks in mind. Returning mechanics work much the same way veterans are used to, though some have been updated or changed slightly.
