The Victorian Government’s skills Reconnect Program will feature at the Community Colleges Australia National ACE Summit on 5 April. The Reconnect Program assists participants to overcome multiple barriers preventing them from engaging in education, training and employment and provides support for further study or employment, providing the supported pathways many learners need to succeed and break the cycle of disadvantage. CCA proposes outreach program to re-engage disadvantaged learners impacted by COVID-19
Community Colleges Australia (CCA) has proposed an outreach program to re-engage disadvantaged and vulnerable learners who have left training because of COVID-19 concerns. Adult and community education (ACE) providers over-perform in reaching disadvantaged groups, but have experienced a significant drop amongst these students throughout the pandemic and again in 2022, even more than in 2020 and 2021.
