The Boneyard – AMARG Tour – One of the most haunting sites in Tucson is The Boneyard, home to 4,200 retired or maintenance-needy military and space aircraft.
Mount Lemmon – is cool. No really cool. It can be 30 degrees Fahrenheits cooler than Marana so it’s a great place to beat the heat. And shop. Summerhaven’s historic store is popular with most credit cards.
Mount Lemmon Ski Valley – Mount Lemmon dates back to World War II, and activities are available in summer as well as winter. The nearby hiking is also memorable.
Arizona State Museum – While on UofA campus, the Arizona State Museum is an insider’s choice, with the largest collection of authentic pre-historic Southwestern pottery and anthropological objects in the world.
Rillito River Park – A perfect spot for a hike, bike ride or dog walk. You can choose between soft or paved surfaces & distances are marked. No need to cross any streets on your walk, hike or ride. Families are welcome.
Tumamoc Hill – Located in the heart of Tucson, Tumamoc Hill is like the city’s own Central Park. Hikes here offer beautiful city views and a wonderful photographic way to capture #RCMemories.

Saguaro National Park – The park is a perfect place to see the beautiful Saguaro cactus. Drive by to see desert animals as well as stories-high cacti for as far as the eye can see.
Tucson Museum of Art – For a colorfully visual look at Tucson’s past, don’t miss the Tucson Museum of Art. The museum’s 8,000-piece collection includes its current Southwest Anthems landscape exhibit, through February 2015.
Sabino Canyon Recreation Area – Sabino Canyon is a dream for wilderness hikers and mountain bikers. There are plenty of creeks, cacti and critters to enjoy (particularly at night) as well trail tram rides every 30 minutes.
Pima Air & Space Museum – The aircraft exhibits at Pima Air & Space Museum are wonderful, but it’s the bone-yard next door with 4,400 abandoned jets that will make your jaw drop. Tours are first come, first served.
Old Tucson – Gun-slinging Hollywood history come to life. They still film Westerns here as well as giving family shows and tours. Pull on a six-shooter, walk the walk, celebrate your inner John Wayne.
Biosphere 2 – Want to walk through mangroves, rainforests, savannah and a fog desert in the space of an hour? Yes. Then the futuristic Biosphere 2 is the place for you. Wild and wonderful.
