Page Text: Who is Behind Saltbush Lamb? Ben Sippel, Manager The Saltbush Nursery at Narromine G'day Folks, I'm Ben Sippel and I really look forward to having you taste our fantastic Drover's Choice Saltbush Lamb. The Greatest tasting lamb in the world! For me there's nothing better than sharing great food with friends and family. So I am glad to be providing this fantastic product which brings about an eating experience to last a life time. I've grown up in Narromine in Central Western New South Wales, about 5 hours west of Sydney in a world surrounded by Oldman Saltbush, a plant which has drought proofed our farm since it was planted in 1994. As well as growing up on a farm, I've become a Kindergarten teacher and in my time have seen this plant survive some of the worst drought conditions of the last 50 years in our area. This has shown me the power this native shrub has to keep farms going and keep stock alive in such harsh conditions. Not only do the stock survive drought, they thrive on this native protein rich fodder food and develop a natural flavour which gives the most amazing taste to the meat we now produce. For the future, I now hope to share with as many of you as I can, the story of what we know out here at Narromine. Having travelled around a bit through Australia and the world, enjoying some of the greatest foods, it’s a fantastic feeling to know that what we make right here in our own backyard is simply the best there is. I hope you will be happy to enjoy this also and share with us in enjoying some great Drover’s Choice Saltbush Lamb. To find out more of our story, please continue to read on through our site for more on Oldman Saltbush and the fantastic food we produce using this wonderful Australian native plant.
