During the winter months, the average daily temperature varies from 3ºC (37.4F) to 16ºC (60.8F), with some occurrences of early morning frost.
Dubbo is ideally located at the intersection of major routes for road, rail and air transport, and on the path of three major fibre-optic cables, allowing businesses and residents to take advantage of the speed and variety of the latest information technologies including wireless broadband.

The City’s economic strength lies heavily in the diversity of industries that reinforce its role as a vibrant regional service centre of some 3700 businesses. The main industries in Dubbo are retail, health, manufacturing, transport, tourism, education, construction, business services, agriculture, and government services. Expansion of growth sectors such as mining is expected to result in solid returns for property investment across the City.
