Can grandparents be in the photos too?
Yes, I absolutely love large family groups
What if it rains?
Dull skies are actually perfect for photos, they create soft shadows on your face which is very flattering. A little light rain isn’t a problem, but if it’s raining heavily, or high winds are forecast we’ll definitely rearrange.
What if my kids don’t behave?
It’s a great idea to let them know exactly what we’re going to be doing in advance. Let them know that I’m really nice, and if I’ve photographed any of their friends, tell them. What I ask is that you ignore a bit of bad behaviour, or attitude. When kids aren’t comfortable they play up until they are comfortable. I’d love you to encourage them when they do something good and to let me help them to feel comfortable.
Will you help advise on locations?
Of course. Some families come with an idea of where they’d like to go, or the type of location. I’m more than happy to go with the flow or suggest locations based on the age of your children, the time of year, or the number of people in your group.
Will you help me choose outfits?
Yes definitely. I can send you a guide on how to choose outfits and colours. You’re also very welcome to send me pictures of outfits to help you choose.
I’m feeling self conscious about having my photo taken.
Almost all mum’s feel the same. Because there’s no awkward smiling and posing you’ll soon feel comfortable, don’t worry. You’ll be so happy that you decided to be in the photos with your family. I promise.
Can I just have photos of the children?
If you’re totally sure that’s absolutely fine. I don’t want you to regret the opportunity to be in one or two.
If you want it just to be for the kids that’s no problem.
