Page Text: FAQ When is monetization expanding beyond the U.S.? We are currently working on unlocking this option for our global creators and will have more to share in 2022. When do I know how much I'll earn with each Ads by Anchor option? Each option has a slightly different pricing model that will determine how much you earn. You will be shown the price for each option before you accept it. I'm not currently hosted on Anchor. Can I still use your monetization tools? Your podcast must be hosted on Anchor to take advantage of Anchor's monetization tools. Will the ads play beyond Spotify? Yes, Ads by Anchor can play on and beyond Spotify. Ads served to listeners on Spotify will be delivered via Spotify's proprietary Streaming Ad Insertion technology, which enables the most precise and transparent podcast advertising in the industry. Can I use multiple monetization tools at the same time? Creators are free to choose how many ads, and which types (based on which they qualify for), to include in their episodes, to maximize their earning potential. However, we recommend that you not include ads in episodes for your paid subscribers. How will I know when I qualify for different Ads by Anchor options? Check the 'Money' page on Anchor to see the different Ads by Anchor options and which you qualify to use. Podcast Ads Glossary: SAI - Streaming Ad Insertion (SAI) is a podcast ad technology available on Spotify that unlocks digital planning, reporting, and measurement for podcast advertisers - based on confirmed ad impressions. Streaming Ad Insertion delivers the intimacy and quality of traditional podcast ads with the precision and transparency of modern day digital marketing. DAI - Dynamic Ad Insertion (DAI) is an ad technology. With DAI, ads are served through an ad server and are inserted upon receipt of a podcast file request. Spotify leverages DAI to serve our ads off-platform on non-Spotify podcast platforms like Apple Podcasts, Overcast, and Stitcher. SPAN - The Spotify Audience Network is Spotify’s proprietary audio advertising marketplace in which advertisers of all sizes will be able to connect with listeners consuming a broad range of content. These include Spotify’s Originals & Exclusives, podcasts via Megaphone and Anchor, and ad-supported music. CPM - Cost per mille, a term used to denote the cost per 1000 impressions to the advertiser. This does not include the revenue share a platform may take. RPM - Revenue per mille, a term used to denote the earnings per 1000 impressions to you, the creator. 2022 © Spotify AB
