The Melbourne Cricket Club, as ground managers of the MCG, looks forward to welcoming you to the 'G throughout the 2022 AFL Premiership Season. The MCC is committed to ensuring that all events across 2022 AFL Premiership Season operate in line with relevant Victorian Government COVID-19 guidelines so all patrons can experience the MCG in a safe way. As a result, things may look a little different since your last visit to the ‘G. Below you will find everything you need to know to help make your experience a great one. Get your tickets Tickets are now on sale for 2022 AFL Premiership Season matches (Rounds 1-5). On sale dates for the next block of matches will be announced in due course. A total of 10 tickets can be purchased in one transaction via Ticketek . View the 2022 AFL Premiership Season fixture at the MCG  here . Mobile tickets Your ticket for the match will be delivered digitally via Ticketek. You will need to download your mobile ticket, and forward tickets to other members in your group if you have purchased tickets on behalf of others. These tickets will be used for entry at the turnstiles. For a quicker entry, we recommend downloading your mobile tickets prior to arriving at the MCG. Getting to the 'G In 2022, the process for entry into the MCG will take longer than usual. To ensure you are inside the MCG in time for the match start, arrive early and leave plenty of time for the entry process. To ease congestion on roads and the public transport network, and to allow additional time for vaccination checks at the gates, we advise patrons to arrive early to the MCG. Public transport The MCG is easily accessible via public transport, including major train and tram lines. Plan your journey here . Car parking Public parking in Yarra Park is available for some matches at the MCG. Please check our Parking Information page for a full list of opening times and availability. We endeavour to provide disability parking for all matches. Road closures Road closures around the MCG may be in place at high-traffic times during events at the MCG. Cars may also be held in the car park for a short time after the match. Roads that may be subject to road closures include Brunton Avenue, Jolimont Street, Jolimont Terrace and Wellington Parade. To see the road closures for upcoming events, view the event pages here . COVID-19 Vaccination Condition of Entry In line with the Victorian Government health directives for major events at the MCG, entry will only be granted to fully vaccinated patrons. Patrons 18 years and over must provide proof of vaccination status. Children under 18 years do not need to be vaccinated but must be accompanied by a fully vaccinated adult. Unvaccinated patrons will not be permitted to enter the MCG, unless they are able to display a valid immunisation medical exemption provided by a Victorian Government-approved health professional . As patrons arrive at the MCG, they are asked to bring up their confirmation of check-in and COVID-19 digital certificate to display to match day staff at the entrance gate in one of two ways: Scan the QR code outside the entrance gate using the Services Victoria App on your smart device and show check-in status to staff. Show their COVID-19 digital certificate in the same smart wallet on their device, that houses their digital ticket from Ticketek. All patrons will still be required to “check-in” to the MCG via the Services Victoria app. Patrons without a smart device will be required to provide a printed version of the COVID-19 digital certificate or a copy of their full Immunisation History statement provided by the Australian Government (with coat of arms), which can be used as evidence of vaccination. An immunisation statement provided by a general practitioner (GP) will not be accepted. Once inside the MCG This year, public tickets include a mixture of reserved seats and general admission seating. Reserved tickets: your bay, row and seat number will be indicated on your mobile ticket. Please ask one of our friendly staff members if you require assistance with finding your seat. General admission: with general admission tickets, you can sit in any of the general admission areas. These areas work on a first-in, best dressed basis. General admission seating areas will be available on the events page on our website. COVID-19 health advice Please play your role in protecting the people's ground: Clean hands: Please remember to wash or sanitise your hands regularly, using one of the MCG's 275 Dettol hand sanitisation stations throughout the ground Know when it's time to bow out: If you have COVID-19 symptoms of have been advised to get tested by a contact, workplace or school, please get tested and isolate until you get a negative result. We also recommend packing a fitted face mask. While masks are not required by patrons at the MCG, we strongly recommend masks be worn where physical distancing cannot be maintained. A reminder that face masks must also be worn on public transport and in rideshare vehicles. MCG facilities Having trouble finding something? Find it in the stadium directory . Food and beverage outlets Like the rest of the hospitality industry nationally, the MCG is experiencing some staffing shortages which has meant the closure of some bar and food outlets throughout the venue. While the team works hard to provide you with great service, we ask for your patience and understanding as we navigate through these shortages. Please read a message from MCC CEO, Stuart Fox regarding our food and beverage operations. We apologise for the inconvenience. Please note: All food, beverage and merchandise outlets are cashless – so transactions will need to be made on your debit or credit card. New MCG Multi-Faith Prayer Room The new MCG Multi-Faith Prayer Room is open to all patrons from Round 1 onward. Located on Level B1 of the Shane Warne Stand (at approximately M13), the room is able to cater for more than 50 patrons at one time, and is suitable for patrons of all faiths including Christian, Muslim, Jewish and Hindu. Replacing a previous smaller space in the Ponsford Stand, the new Multi-Faith Prayer Room is accessible for all patrons from across the stadium, regardless of where they are seated.
