“ Pittsburgh Behavioral Services provides educational and behavioral services for individuals with autism, intellectual/developmental disabilities, and other learning or behavioral needs. We serve directly in the Pittsburgh area in Pennsylvania through one to one clinical settings, group settings, home settings, and school based services, as well as collaborate and consult with families and professionals around the world. ClearMask’s generous gift was more crucial than ever during these uncertain and challenging times, and has enabled our employees to adapt and continue their work in providing the highest quality services possible to the most vulnerable populations while staying protected to the greatest extent possible. Being able to see the instructor’s face is an essential part of treatment for many of our clients. Thanks to the ClearMask, this population was able to respond better to treatment due to seeing their instructors’ face and mouth while accessing safe and highly effective services. “ Humanim is committed to supporting and economically empowering individuals with disabilities and socio-economic challenges, serving over 4,000 individuals annually throughout Maryland and Delaware. ClearMask’s bulk donation is supporting all of our programs, including our deaf services, human services, workforce development programs and social enterprises. Transparent masks are essential to communicating with our staff and consumers who are deaf or hard of hearing during this pandemic. Many of our Developmental Disability and Behavioral Health services clients also have difficulty expressing their emotions. The ClearMask™ transparent masks help our program participants and staff show their facial expressions so they are able to build rapport. Lastly, Humanim’s culinary social enterprise, City Seeds, utilizes the ClearMask™ when they are making food/catering deliveries in the community – it helps them better communicate with the public.
