Kindness
Kindness at work matters to us (and the research supports it). We want to love where we work. Empathy can be strengthened by effort. This is a team effort down to the person. To us kindness is not sociability or being the life of the party.
Kindness is helpfulness, a willingness to step in to offer work support where it’s needed. Kindness is respectful, honest communication. Almost all of our teams integrate contributors from various regions and with various skills. This is by design: we value our differences. There’s zero jerk tolerance.
Collaboration
Our company hires worldwide and our teams are geographically dispersed. This means that collaboration skills matter a great deal at EYX. When we as a team set our sights on one goal, our team and individual efforts multiply. If our individuals, and teams, and company are focused on a new market or new offering, we get to our goals that much faster. We achieve team-wide collaboration through careful listening and understanding. Our priorities are shared and our goals are actionable.
Integrity
Key to our style of collaboration is that we make decisions based on what’s best for the company, not one team or one project. This supports all of us. We learn from each other when feedback is transparent. Candor guides us. Being open and honest in expression is our super power. We fuel it by sharing relevant information in real time, whether in ongoing one-on-one conversations or in monthly meetings where we discuss business and strategy — transparently — with feedback and ideas from you.
Creativity
Creativity touches every corner of our organization, whether it’s in engineering or private client work. It involves finding uncommon ways to solve problems and taking risks to get there. To encourage this, we know we (and you) will make mistakes. We consider it a job requirement. When mistakes happen, we quickly fix them and share what we learned. When everyone does this, the company is stronger, smarter, faster, and better. “Creative” is not a performance metric or a department. It’s our path to rapid, data-driven innovation and we find that the most creative people are those with a high degree of ownership for their job and the company. They don’t wait for instruction and instead initiate change. Creativity also means having a heart!
Customer Focus
