Our Story
We started with a single goal: level the playing field for small businesses, so they can grow and compete with the big guys. We accomplish this goal by creating enterprise-level tools, team, and training for small business.
Company Timeline
WPBeginner Syed Balkhi launched WPBeginner, which is now the largest free WordPress resource site.
2011
List25 Syed Balkhi started List25, a fun side project that's now in the top 2000 YouTube channels.
2013
OptinMonster Syed Balkhi and Thomas Griffin co-founded OptinMonster, the most powerful conversion optimization software.
2014
Soliloquy & Envira Envira Gallery and Soliloquy Slider plugin joins the Awesome Motive family through a merger deal and Thomas Griffin officially joins as the CTO.
2016
WPForms Syed Balkhi and Jared Atchison co-founded WPForms, a drag & drop WordPress form builder.
2016
MonsterInsights Syed Balkhi acquires Yoast Analytics, the most popular Google Analytics integration in the world and rebrands it to MonsterInsights.

WP Mail SMTP The most popular WordPress SMTP plugin joins the Awesome Motive family through an acquisition.

Sold Soliloquy & Envira In December, we sold Envira Gallery and Soliloquy to better focus on our growth tools.

ExactMetrics We acquired the famous Google Analytics Dashboard for WordPress plugin through our portfolio Company, MonsterInsights, and rebranded it to ExactMetrics.

Pirate Forms WPForms acquired Pirate Forms, a simple WordPress form plugin and retired it in favor of our modern WPForms plugin.

SeedProd The most popular coming soon & maintenance mode plugin for WordPress joins Awesome Motive through a merger. John Turner (founder of SeedProd) joins Awesome Motive.

Sold List25 In October, we sold List25 to realign our company focus on software. At the time, List25 had over 2.3M subscribers and 550M video views on YouTube.

TrustPulse In April, we launched TrustPulse, the best social proof notification platform to help businesses improve conversions by leveraging the power of social proof.

RafflePress In July, we launched RafflePress, the most powerful WordPress giveaway and contest plugin to help users grow their email list, website traffic, and social followers.

All in One SEO In January, we acquired All in One SEO Pack (AIOSEO), the original WordPress SEO plugin that's used by over 2 million websites.

Smash Balloon In June, we acquired Smash Balloon, the most popular social feeds plugin for WordPress used by over 1.3 million websites.
